Who knew wheel bearings could fail you?
I did but i don’t really do “preventive maintenance” until i have too.
I just like driving tbh. Working on cars is kind of second nature
But I did get to finally try out my “lumped” rc scaler. It’s like half a foot taller than stock. If it was fullsize it would be about 5 feet from the bottom of the door.
stock picture for example

Didn’t you just do wheel bearings?

Kind of, I did one side when the old ones decided to disintegrate. It also may not be 100% bearings could also be the hub nut.
But apparently to some internet research XJ’s are supposed to have a bit of play in the rear so who knows.

They’re supposed to have play in the bearings? Huh. I’m not sure why that would be desirable.

“State inspection?” What are those?

Catching bad bearings is probably a good thing. I get the feeling that most states that require inspection aren’t that in depth though (unless they are trying to find things to force you to pay for).
